Henry Cavill put on a mask to pull a joke on Will Smith.
Henry Cavill found a way to attend Comic-Con without fans recognizing him. He also used the occasion to pull a joke on a colleague who was busy signing autographs. The actor pretended to be Will Smith’s fan.
Later, Cavill shared a video on his Instagram where we can see that he put on the V for Vendetta mask and approached Will Smith sitting at the table. At first, Will took the guy for a fan. But then Cavill took off his mask, surprising Will. They laughed, and then Henry Cavill went to other actors sitting, asking them to sign his T-shirt.
How Viggo Mortensen and Karl Urban pranked each other
As Urban revealed, once during the filming of The Lord of the Rings, he was woken up in the middle of the night by a phone call from his agent who promised to buy him new socks if he would just get on his flight as planned. After Urban responded with confusion, his agent instantly realized what had happened, simply saying, “Viggo.” Evidently, Mortensen had called Urban’s agent pretending to be Urban and said that he would not fly without his lucky socks.
Urban took his chance to prank Mortensen back 10 years later when both actors were promoting their movies in Spain. Urban told every member of the press he could that Mortensen had bought a farm, 1,000 goats, and gotten really into making goat cheese. Interviewers asked Mortensen about his new business so much that the fake story made its way to the news.
Aubrey Plaza pied everyone on set.
The actress convinced everyone on the set of Spin Me Around that there was a long-time Italian tradition of getting pied in the face to celebrate a picture wrap. First, she pranked 10 actors from the main cast. And when they found out the truth, they helped her pie the rest of the filming crew. Eventually, almost no one on set managed to escape this fake Italian tradition.
Leonardo DiCaprio pretended to be Jonah Hill’s fan.
This prank took place right in a New York street and got on cameras of ordinary passers-by. Jonah Hill was standing outside a restaurant when Leo suddenly ran up to him with his phone pointing at him. Hillah looked pretty scared. “It was funny! I was totally taken off guard,” he said. “I was scared.”
Eventually, Hill realized that it wasn’t a crazy fan but his old friend. The actors hugged and laughed together.
