On October 3, 2025, Sean “Diddy” Combs was sentenced to four years and two months in federal prison after being convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, violating the Mann Act. The charges stemmed from his involvement in transporting individuals across state lines for drug-fueled sexual encounters, referred to as “freak-offs.” Combs was acquitted of more severe charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.
During the sentencing, Combs expressed deep remorse, acknowledging his actions as “disgusting, shameful, and sick.” He apologized to his victims, family, and the community, stating he had lost his self-respect and reputation. His six children pleaded for leniency, asserting he had changed. The judge emphasized the need for accountability in cases of exploitation and abuse.
In addition to the prison term, Combs was fined $500,000 and will serve five years of supervised release upon his release from prison.
