I pulled the small body of a bear cub out of the water, but what happened to me shortly after was a real shock

While walking along a deep river, I noticed a small bear cub floating on the surface. At first, I thought it was swimming, but as I approached, I realized it was motionless—likely drowned. I reached out and carefully lifted it from the water, shaking it and hoping it would come back to life, but it remained lifeless.

Suddenly, a low, heavy growl erupted behind me. I turned slowly and saw a massive mother bear emerging from the bushes, her eyes blazing with rage. She believed I had harmed her cub. Rising on her hind legs with a deafening roar, she charged. Terrified, I threw the cub back into the water and ran, but she was faster, swiping her claws across my back and leaving deep scratches.

Adrenaline carried me through the forest until her growls faded. Collapsing on the road, I realized a harsh truth: wild nature follows its own laws, and humans are always strangers in it.
