I arrived and saw them together. My fists tightened, but I kept my composure. As they were about to go through immigration, an agent stopped them: the card showed signs of fraud. Carlos froze, the young woman terrified.
I firmly explained that the card was mine. The young woman left him there, embarrassed. I felt free, hugging my son, promising myself to live strong and protect only those who deserve my love.
