Donald Trump dementia fears spike as doctor makes new dire claims

Trump Declared “Fit to Serve” — But Health Debate Rages On

In April 2024, Donald Trump was officially declared in “excellent” health by White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella. The medical report found no major concerns, citing normal heart, eye, and ear function. At 75 inches tall and 224 pounds, Trump also underwent a colonoscopy that revealed a benign polyp and diverticulitis, with a follow-up scheduled in three years. He currently takes medications for cholesterol, heart health, and a skin condition, and recently had cataract surgery.

Dr. Barbabella described Trump’s physical and cognitive condition as “robust,” and Trump himself confirmed he passed all components of a cognitive test.

However, health speculation has not gone away.

Psychologist Dr. John Gartner, speaking on The Dean Obeidallah Show, expressed concern over Trump’s gait, citing a pronounced “leg swing” and apparent motor decline—potential indicators of frontotemporal dementia, according to several neurologists.

Critics argue these physical changes contrast sharply with Trump’s earlier years, pointing to possible neurological deterioration.

While officially cleared to serve, Trump’s health remains a hot topic—with critics and supporters locked in a debate far from over.
