A 400 Pound Black Bear Was Drowning In The Ocean, But One Man Refused To Let That Happen

It’s not unusual for wild animals to wander into residential areas in search of food and shelter, as happened in Florida when a 400-pound black bear strayed too close. Wildlife officers sedated her to relocate her safely, but the dart caused panic, and she ran into the ocean.

Drowsy from the sedative, the bear began to drown. Without hesitation, Wildlife Commission biologist Adam Warwick jumped in to save her. Despite the risk of injury, he guided her to shallow water. Once safe, his team helped pull the bear out. A true hero, Adam walked away with just a scratch.
