Country singer Jason “Sundance” Head first gained fame on American Idol in 2007, where he impressed audiences before being eliminated just before the finale. Refusing to give up, he returned in 2016 to compete on The Voice, joining Team Blake Shelton and ultimately winning the season. Recently, the musician made headlines again after being shot on his Texas ranch.
His agent, Trey Newman, confirmed the incident but shared limited details, revealing that Head was airlifted to a nearby hospital after receiving help at the scene. According to his wife, Misty, he was shot in the stomach, and she asked fans to pray for his recovery. Fortunately, the bullet missed vital organs and was not self-inflicted. Newman added it may have been a hunting accident, as Head is known for hunting on his property. The singer underwent surgery and is now recovering.
