A dramatic scene unfolded in a Florida Walmart when a woman, allegedly under the influence of methamphetamine, began threatening customers with a knife.
According to deputies, 32-year-old Brandy McGowan entered the store carrying a brick before grabbing a pocketknife from a shelf. She opened it with a pair of scissors and started to terrify shoppers and employees.
When officers arrived, they repeatedly ordered her to drop the weapon, but she refused to comply. One deputy was forced to use a Taser, bringing her down so they could safely disarm and arrest her.
Authorities later determined that she had consumed approximately four grams of meth earlier that day. After being evaluated at a hospital, McGowan was booked into the Marion County Jail.
No customers or officers were seriously injured, though the terrifying scene left many shaken. The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of drug use and public safety risks.
