Commander in sleep’: Trump mocked after appearing to fall asleep in cabinet meeting

President Donald Trump, long celebrated for his high energy, is now facing scrutiny over apparent fatigue. At 79, the oldest U.S. president ever elected, Trump contrasts himself with 82-year-old Joe Biden, whom he often mocks for being slow. Yet recent reports suggest Trump appears more tired than during his first term.

His public schedule has shortened, with fewer domestic events and most appearances between noon and 5 p.m., though foreign travel has increased. A photo from a two-hour, 17-minute Cabinet meeting sparked debate as Trump’s eyes drooped while reviewing accomplishments. Critics dubbed him “Dozy Don” and “Commander in Sleep,” though White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt defended him, calling the session a “three-hour marathon.”

Health concerns continue, with calls for MRI results, which were declared normal. Trump lashed out at reporters, defending his stamina and criticizing Biden. The session ended with Trump sharply attacking Somali migrants, including Representative Ilhan Omar, calling them unproductive and urging they return to fix their communities.
